Michelangelo — The Creation of Adam, c. 1512

For five hundred years, the masters painted dogs at our side — waiting, watching, looking up. Now we make something for yours.

Always at our side

Painted beside us for centuries.

c. 1440 — 1533

The work

Not S, M or L. Theirs.

Store boots come in three sizes. Paws come in millions. We start from your dog's own paw and build the boot around it.

Leonardo da Vinci's studies of a dog's paw in metalpoint

Leonardo studied a dog's paw. So did we.

A toe box shaped like a real paw — broad at the toes, narrow at the heel — with room to spread under their weight.

Fit

To the millimetre.

Length, width and room for the toes. Fore and hind paws each get their own shape.

Signature

LUNA

Their name, raised in relief on the side of every boot.

Heat

50 °C+

Midday asphalt in the tropics. The sole keeps it off their pads.

Teardrop vents

Dogs sweat through their pads. The heat gets out; the boot stays cool.

A sole that grips

Dots, zigzag or cross-hatch — for wet tile and older, unsteady legs.

Stays on

A strap that actually holds.

It wraps the leg above the toes and the dewclaw — never the toes — and closes at the front. We tell you exactly which one to buy.

Material

Bends with every step.

Flexible TPU, a rising toe and grooves that fold as the paw rolls forward. Rinses clean with water.

Questions

Good questions from good owners.

How do I measure my dog's paw?

Put a sheet of paper on the floor and let your dog stand on it, so the paw takes their weight (it spreads a little). Trace around it, then measure the longest point front to back and the widest side to side, in millimetres. The designer adds a little room for comfort.

What are the boots made of?

Flexible TPU — a soft, rubber-like, durable 3D-printing material. It bends with the paw instead of fighting it, and rinses clean with water and mild soap.

Will they stay on?

A hook-and-loop strap runs through two soft loops at the sides, wraps the leg above the paw and closes at the front. The leg is narrower than the paw, so the strap keeps the boot from slipping off — and it sits above the toes and the dewclaw, so it never pinches them. The designer tells you exactly which strap to buy.

Does my dog need four?

Most wear four. Fore paws are rounder and carry more weight; hind paws are more oval. Design one fore boot and one hind, and we print the pairs.

My dog has never worn boots. Now what?

Start indoors, a few minutes at a time, with lots of praise and a treat or two, then lengthen the walks little by little. Most dogs walk funny at first and soon forget they're wearing them.

How much are they, and how long do they take?

It depends on the size and how many you need. Designing is free — send a quote request from the designer and we'll reply with the price and delivery time.

They give you every step they have.

Give them boots made for them alone. Ten quiet minutes, a pencil and a sheet of paper.
